Piaget’s Tribute to Nature Through the Rose

The rose has always been a symbol of femininity and sophistication, holding a unique place in Piaget’s collections. The Piaget Rose, crafted in sculpted gold or diamonds, is the Maison's only figurative design and represents a deeply personal connection to the brand’s founder, Yves Piaget. Growing up in the Swiss Jura mountains, Yves Piaget’s love for nature and its wildflowers, particularly roses, became a key inspiration throughout his career. This connection led him to introduce the life-size gold rose at the Geneva International New Rose Competition in 1979 and later have a rose named in his honour—the Yves Piaget Rose.

The Piaget Rose is now an iconic emblem for the brand, symbolising its commitment to nature and beauty. Over the years, Piaget has sponsored rose competitions and restored historic rose gardens, further deepening the flower’s link to the Maison. In 2012, Piaget launched its first rose-themed collection, followed by the Rose Passion High Jewellery collection in 2014, marking a significant milestone in celebrating the brand’s devotion to the flower.

Piaget’s latest Rose Fine Jewellery collection continues this legacy, featuring diamond-set pieces accented with emeralds, blending natural beauty with artistic abstraction. The collection includes a versatile between-the-finger ring and a sliding pendant, designed for everyday wear, allowing the wearer to experience the beauty of the rose in a fresh and dynamic way. The earrings, with marquise-diamond leaves and central emeralds, play on asymmetry to evoke the organic growth of nature, celebrating the vibrancy and life force of the rose.

Piaget’s ability to capture the fleeting beauty of the rose in precious metals and stones showcases its mastery of craftsmanship. The Piaget Rose collection remains a timeless symbol of elegance, reflecting the enduring beauty of nature through the Maison's expert artistry.
