"Hermès In Motion" Exhibition Arrives in Qatar

From October 16 to November 9, 2024, the National Museum of Qatar will host *Hermès Heritage: In Motion*, the final chapter of the Hermès Heritage exhibition series. Following the success of *Once Upon a Bag* in 2022 and *Harnessing the Roots* in 2023, this exhibition explores the maison's history, founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermès. Known for its craftsmanship and innovation, Hermès evolved from a harness-maker to a global luxury brand, with this final chapter celebrating movement and travel as central themes.

The exhibition features a collection of iconic Hermès pieces, including the first Hermès scarf with its intricate design inspired by horse-drawn carriages, and the Postilion riding boots, evoking a sense of timeless adventure. Visitors will also discover the Bolide picnic bag, a design inspired by a 1920s travel bag, and other objects from the Émile Hermès collection, showcasing the brand’s ability to transcend eras while maintaining its dedication to elegance and functionality.

Curated by Bruno Gaudichon and designed by Laurence Fontaine, *In Motion* offers a journey through time, highlighting the spirit of mobility that has defined Hermès creations. Ingenious designs such as the Pippa writing desk and cane picnic basket further demonstrate the brand’s mastery of blending utility with sophistication. This touring exhibition presents Hermès as a symbol of effortless movement, showcasing how its creations have adapted to the evolving pace of modern life.
