Rolls-Royce Celebrates 60 Years of “Goldfinger”

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Goldfinger is a unique masterpiece that celebrates the 60th anniversary of the 1964 James Bond film *Goldfinger*. Drawing inspiration from Auric Goldfinger's 1937 Phantom III Sedanca de Ville, this one-of-a-kind model features extensively engineered Bespoke elements. Highlights include a solid 18-carat gold bar shaped like a ‘Speedform’ prominently displayed in the centre console and picnic tables that feature a fictional map of Fort Knox crafted in 22-carat gold inlay.

The Phantom Goldfinger showcases the most sophisticated Bespoke features ever applied to a Rolls-Royce, incorporating playful yet elegant elements developed over three years by designers and engineers. The exterior paint colour was matched to the original Phantom III, with a unique two-tone design that wraps seamlessly around the vehicle. Inside, the Starlight Headliner reflects the constellations visible over Furka during the film's shoot, while a hidden vault in the centre console houses an illuminated solid gold bar. Gold-plated treadplates, speaker frets inscribed with the film's title, and a 24-carat gold-plated VIN plaque with a special identification number ending in 007 further enhance the luxurious details.

The Royal Walnut picnic tables feature a fictional Fort Knox map inlaid with 22-carat gold, and the interior is elegantly presented in Navy leather with gold detailing, including stitching and specially designed ‘RR’ monograms. The iconic gold putter from the film is recreated and mounted inside the boot lid, while a device projecting the 007 logo onto the carpet acknowledges Bond's clever gadgetry. Finally, the number plate ‘AU 1’—a nod to gold's chemical symbol—has been secured to the Phantom Goldfinger, now delivered to an esteemed Rolls-Royce client in England.
