Noon by Noor Unveils FW24 Collection

Founders and designers Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa of Noon By Noor showcased their Fall Winter 2024 collection, “Winter Solstice,” in an intimate salon-style presentation at London's Somerset House.

The collection draws inspiration from the iconic personal styles and visionary works of fashion legends like Isabella Blow, Anna Piaggi, Diana Vreeland, Lucinda Chambers, and Amanda Harlech, resulting in an eclectic blend of elements. It incorporates the essence of nature into country tweeds, creating garments that are dry to the touch yet soft, light, and easy to wear. The collection skillfully merges corsets with utilitarian details, offering a bold and distinctive aesthetic. Clashing proportions, meticulous craftsmanship, and daring color combinations pay tribute to the influential women who have shaped the fashion industry.

Shaikha Noor Al Khalifa explained, “We took this starting point and began to research references from the late 60s and early 70s, looking at designers such as Bill Gibb and Ossie Clark and their referencing of folklore and dress, nature, natural fibres and textures as well as our tradition of craft making the ordinary extraordinary. Looking at art and decorative elements from our home in Bahrain, embellishments, patchwork, and quilting mixed with a touch of London style.”

With a sharp focus on balancing layers, Noon By Noor presents modern interpretations of cherished silhouettes that embody the brand's spirit. The collection features signature lace trims, ruffles, frills, and masculine details, along with tailored suits and utility wear that highlight the brand's unique character.

Shaikha Haya Al Khalifa added, “We considered with our team how we could subtly mix these layers, keeping focused on an intimate presentation, playing with proportions and textures to paint a picture of modern interpretations of these silhouettes that we love and that captures the spirit of Noon By Noor. Using our house codes, lace trims, ruffles, frills, masculine details suits and utility-wear.”

Dresses have always been central to Noon By Noor's design language, and the Fall Winter 2024 collection features slip dresses reimagined in tweeds and patchwork-printed shirt dresses that convey a modern, fresh, and youthful essence.

Tailoring remains a cornerstone of the Noon By Noor wardrobe, and the collection reinforces this with super lightweight tailored pieces and outerwear. The standout pieces include oversized, elegantly draped jackets and corset-like styles, offering effortless and impactful fashion statements.
