Level Shoes Marks a Decade of Design and Culture
To celebrate the tenth edition of Dubai Design Week, two landmark events underscored the region's flourishing design and cultural landscape. Level Shoes, the global hub for luxury footwear and accessories, partnered with Soho House’s Cities Without Houses community for the first time, hosting an exclusive dinner and a public panel discussion.
On Friday, November 8, an intimate dinner co-hosted by Achraf Mzily and Natalie Mahakian from Bone, Soho House, and Level Shoes took place at the Bone villa in Jumeirah, Dubai. The gathering honoured exceptional creativity and craftsmanship, with guests receiving a limited-edition ceramic plate by acclaimed Algerian ceramist Nessma Djouhri. The menu, curated by Dubai-based chef Jesse Blake, featured dishes infused with Middle Eastern touches, including local cheeses and fattoush, smoked eggplant with spiced date agrodolce, and burnt coconut caramel with black tahini. The evening fostered thoughtful conversations around art and culture in the region.
On Monday, November 11, Level Shoes and Soho House reunited for a public panel exploring a decade of design and cultural impact in the Middle East. Held at the Level Shoes flagship in Dubai Mall, the discussion, led by Bone and featuring insights from Tarik Al Zaharna of T.Zed Architects, examined how evolving customer expectations are reshaping the retail landscape. Emphasising a shift back to authentic, immersive experiences, the panel provided a rich exchange on the future of design and cultural connection across the region.
These events reflect the shared mission of Level Shoes and Soho House to celebrate creativity and community, while marking a decade of Dubai Design Week’s role in weaving a vibrant cultural tapestry in the Middle East.
