Experimental R&B Musician Kayowa Releases Ode to South London on ‘Based’
Multi-talented experimental musician Kayowa drops second single taken from upcoming album, ‘Based’ in homage to her hometown, South London.
Kayowa continues her vocal flow on this summer vibed track about her ends, SE14, telling her south side story over a chill beat produced by wavexnoir.
Maintaining her fierce, feminine energy and thoughtful introspection heard on her debut releases, ‘Based’ continues to deliver South London native Kayowa’s creative force to communicate her story as an upcoming artist. Unapologetically herself, she highlights injustices in a fun, thought provoking way in her music.

Her unparalleled ability to create music in quick succession combined with a real authenticity is a breath of fresh air with her musical output and topics depending on how she is feeling on the day of writing.
An advocate for good energy, Kayowa believes that what you put out into the world should be positive to bless someone else, something that is reflected in her musical output and goals of being a philanthropist.
