Byredo Unveils “Mojave Ghost Absolu de Parfum”

As the final chapter in the Mojave Ghost 2024 series unfolds, it introduces the dark sensuality of Absolu de Parfum, a permanent addition to Byredo's fragrance portfolio. This launch distills the familiar notes of the Eau de Parfum into a more concentrated edition, evoking strength and resilience. The imagery captures the allure of this magnetic scent through chiaroscuro contrasts, with otherworldly petals of the ghost flower elegantly emerging from the shadows.

The Absolu de Parfum serves as a reinterpretation of Mojave Ghost’s iconic notes, embarking on a journey steeped in memory. It draws upon elemental principles, extracting foundational ingredients into a pure essence that captivates with greater intensity. This celebration of olfactory artistry is reflected in the new bottle design, featuring a cap inspired by traditional woodwork. The elongated neck connects the tactile appeal of the burnt wood cap with the modernity of the glass vessel.

Recalling human touch, the cap opens to reveal an atomizer spray adorned with antique gold and silver rings, exhibiting an industrial aesthetic. This interplay of contrasts illustrates Byredo’s balance between function and emotion. The updated bottle design embodies Byredo’s ethos of evolution, preserving the round shape in clear glass while replacing the glossy black cap with a textured lid that honors craftsmanship.

Inspired by Ben Gorham's childhood in the forests of Canada and Sweden, the design reflects Byredo’s appreciation for nature. This visual identity treats objects as totemic artifacts, designed to endure. Perched atop the elongated neck, the cap reveals an atomizer framed by antique gold and silver rings, embracing an industrial flair.
