Birkenstock 1774 introduces a new iteration of the Arizona with the launch of the Arizona CosNy in Nylon — a streamlined, monochromatic update on the brand’s iconic double-strap sandal. Reimagined by the Paris-based 1774 creative studio, the latest release places material innovation at the forefront, while maintaining the practical sensibility Arizona has been known for since its 1973 debut.
This edition centers around one silhouette and one material. The Arizona CosNy swaps traditional finishes for padded, Italian-sourced nylon straps lined with soft microfiber. The look is clean and contemporary, but still rooted in function. A hook and loop closure replaces the usual buckles, making the fit adjustable across foot shapes. The entire sandal sits atop Birkenstock’s signature anatomically shaped footbed, this time wrapped in matching nappa leather for a tonal finish.
Offered in a mix of vibrant colourways, the Arizona CosNy continues 1774’s approach of refining classics through subtle shifts in proportion and detail. While it respects the familiar lines of the original Arizona, it introduces a more technical edge with a lightweight, adaptable material choice designed for everyday wear.
