In Review: Hydrafacial at Wellth
An editor from Cake The Mag was recently invited to undergo a Hydrafacial treatment at Wellth in Dubai, and here's her take.
I have to admit, I’m not the kind of person who’s easily impressed by skincare treatments. But after trying a Hydrafacial, I completely understand the hype. This treatment is like a tall glass of water for your skin—cooling, refreshing, and incredibly satisfying. From the moment it started, I could feel my skin soaking up all the hydration, leaving it plump, dewy, and fresh in a way I didn’t know was possible.
The process itself is a treat. Unlike some facials that leave you red and blotchy, Hydrafacial is gentle yet powerful. It starts with a deep cleanse and exfoliation using glycolic and salicylic acids—just enough to slough off dull skin without irritation. Then comes the extraction phase, which, to my surprise, was completely painless. Instead of aggressive squeezing, it uses a vacuum-like suction to pull out impurities, which is both effective and oddly satisfying. Finally, the hydration step floods the skin with antioxidants and peptides, leaving it looking and feeling replenished.
One thing I love about Hydrafacial is its customisation. Whether you need an extra dose of hydration, help with breakouts, or just a brightening boost, the treatment can be tailored to your skin’s specific needs. I opted for an additional Booster to enhance my glow, and the results were immediate. My skin was smoother, softer, and had a noticeable radiance that lasted longer than I expected. (This review is going up 3 weeks after my treatment and I still see and feel the benefits).
Another highlight? The Gunkie jar. If you’re as curious as I am, you’ll appreciate being able to see exactly what’s been removed from your skin—there’s something strangely gratifying about it. Plus, thanks to the built-in lymphatic drainage and LED therapy, I left feeling like my skin had received the ultimate refresh, without a single sign of irritation.
For anyone looking for a skincare treatment that delivers instant results with lasting benefits, Hydrafacial is a game-changer. It’s the perfect balance between clinical results and a pampering experience, making it an essential part of any skincare routine. My complexion felt deeply hydrated, plumped, and fresh long after the treatment, and honestly, I can’t wait to book my next session.
