In Review: House of Hype

An editor from Cake The Mag was recently invited to experience House of Hype, here’s her take.

Dubai Mall’s House of Hype completely exceeded all of my expectations, and in the best way possible. I was genuinely surprised by how much bigger it was than I had imagined. It felt like an entire world of fun and creativity packed into one space. From games and activities to food and immersive experiences, it seemed like there was no end to what you could explore. At times, I honestly felt like I was being teleported to entirely different worlds. One moment, I was immersed in a space-themed experience, then suddenly, I found myself in the streets of Tokyo. In the blink of an eye, I went from indulging in a playful twist on Al Baik at the "Al Faik" dessert shop to grabbing a loaded hotdog, and then off to enjoy hand-rolled sushi. The space felt like an ever-changing adventure, and it was exciting to constantly discover something new around every corner. There was something for everyone to enjoy, no matter what your vibe or interests were.

The variety of experiences was something I really appreciated. You could easily get lost in the different themed areas, with each offering a unique atmosphere. From futuristic concepts to playful twists on familiar settings, House of Hype truly takes immersion to another level. Whether it was the fun games or the atmosphere that made you feel like you were in a completely different place, the entire experience was designed to keep you entertained and engaged. Another great thing was that you could also shop and buy exclusive hype items, including basketballs, collectible figures, and clothing. It wasn’t just about the experiences—you could actually take a piece of House of Hype home with you, making it feel even more special.

The standout moments for me had to be the hotdog and the incredibly friendly, energetic staff who brought so much warmth to the place. Their enthusiasm and energy made the experience even more enjoyable and made me feel like I was part of the House of Hype family. The staff truly elevated the experience, and it was clear they were just as excited about the place as the guests were. Their positive attitudes made every moment more fun and memorable, and that’s something that really stuck with me.

Another one of my favourite moments was the chance to build my own character. It’s not every day you get to design your own avatar, and that personal touch really made the visit feel extra special. House of Hype is not just a place to visit; it’s an experience that takes you on a journey through various themes, sensations, and moments of creativity. Whether you’re there for the food, the games, or the immersive experiences, it’s definitely worth checking out.
